The U.N. Global Compact on Migration & Human Rights

With the adoption of the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants by the U.N. General Assembly, states have committed to launching "a process of inter-governmental negotiations leading to the adoption of a global compact for safe, orderly and regular migration". The aim of the global compact is to set out a range of principles and commitments addressing all aspects of international migration. Against this background, the Global Migration Centre (GMC) and the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) are pleased to invite you to a public conference that will discuss the nexus between the global compact on migration and human rights.
