European Commission public consultation on fingerprinting age in the visa procedure

Description

Description:

This survey is part of a wider process of consultation of stakeholders, feeding into a study on the necessity and proportionality of lowering the fingerprinting age for children in the visa procedure as a way to respond to concerns of children going missing, being victims of trafficking, child abduction and irregular migration involving minors. The stakeholders' consultation will be an essential part of an impact assessment on the review of the legal basis of the EU Visa Information System (VIS) planned for 2018. The consultation is available here: https://ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/content/consultation-lowering-fingerprinting-age-children-visa-procedure-12-years-6-years_en.
