Winner Prize Announcement:

The Odysseus Academic Network was delighted to announce the winners of two annual prizes recognising outstanding and original academic research in the area of European Immigration or Asylum Law.

Best Publication Prize Winners: Dr Cathryn Costello (“The Human Rights of Migrants and Refugees in European Law”) and Prof Marie-Bénédicte Dembour (“When Humans Become Migrants: Study of the European Court of Human Rights with an Inter-American Counterpoint”).

Young Researchers Prize Winner 2016: Dr Violeta Moreno-Lax (‘The Legality of the “Safe Third Country” Notion Contested: Insights from the Law of Treaties’, in G.S. Goodwin-Gill and P. Weckel (eds), Migration & Refugee Protection in the 21st Century: Legal Aspects – The Hague Academy of International Law Centre for Research (Leiden/Boston: Martinus Nijhoff, 2015) 665-721

Special Mention goes to one other young researcher for her excellent paper: Nika Bačić Selanec “‘A Critique of EU Refugee Crisis Management: On Law, Policy and Decentralisation”, in Croatian Yearbook of European Law and Policy, Vol 11 (2015)
