Elspeth Guild, Odysseus Member for UK, published a Chapter in the newly realased Book: Controlling Immigration Through Criminal Law

Odysseus Member for UK Elspeth Guild has published a new chapter “Assessing Migration Management and the Role of Criminal Law”, in a collective volume edited by Gian Luigi Gatta, Valsamis Mitsilegas, Stefano Zirulia. The book provides an interdisciplinary and comprehensive  overview of the role of criminal law in migration management, from a European, domestic and comparative law perspective. The authors critically analyse several aspects related to current trends  of the criminalisation of migrants, asylum seekers and those engaged in providing humanitarian assistance. The introductory Chapter by Professor Guild offers the general legal and political framework of the debate around migration and criminal law.
