PhD Research Information
Brief description:
This research explores the connection between class and migration status while paying specific attention to the functioning of the law and the way it is implemented as an explanatory factor. Laws create bureaucratic categories by determining who is entitled to which migration status, and which rights are attached thereto, thereby impacting socio-economic status. By simultaneously scrutinizing to what extent socio-economic status will affect migration status, the understanding of the interplay between class and migration status will be enhanced.Methodology:
