Power and Regulation in Migration Systems
Critical Analysis of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ)

Brief description:

The doctoral thesis is divided into three parts: The first is a transfer of Robert Cox's critical neogramscian concept to the field of international migration. It is assumed that existing regulation-theoretical approaches to migration research can be embedded into this multiscale framework. The second and third part is a critical analysis of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), looking first at the role and function of the institution and secondly at the implementation of the Nexus Migration & Development.
