At the frontiers of State responsibility

Brief description:

Annick's doctoral research project examines the responsibility of States under international law for human rights violations that occur as a result of cooperative migration control policies. It is located at the intersection of international human rights law, refugee law and the law of State responsibility. and includes key concepts such as jurisdiction, shared responsibility (including complicity) and due diligence. The project focuses not only on Europe (e.g. Italian cooperation with Libya, EU-Turkey Statement) but also on policies implemented elsewhere (e.g. USA and Australia).
