The webinar will have Anna Strolenberg (Member of the European Parliament), Mauro Testaverde (Senior Economist, World Bank) and Tesseltje de Lange (Director, Centre for Migration Law, Radboud University) as speakers, with Jasmijn Slootjes (Deputy Director, Migration Policy Institute Europe) taking the role of moderator. As the EU moves to implementation of the EU Talent Pool, this webinar takes a timely look at what the initiative reveals about Europe’s evolving labour mobility strategy. Following the European Parliament’s vote, this webinar will take stock of the vote on the new EU Talent Pool and what its final design means for the future of EU labour migration policy. Speakers will reflect on the negotiations that shaped the instrument, examine how its legal and institutional architecture may affect its impact in practice, and explore concrete lessons for effective implementation and employer engagement.
