Study by Elspeth Guild (British Odysseus Member), Cathryn Costello and Violeta Moreno-Lax (OMNIA Participant) on the Relocation of Asylum Seekers from Greece and Italy

This study was commissioned by the European Parliament regarding the implementation of the 2015 Council Decisions establishing provisional measures in the area of international protection for the benefit of Italy and of Greece. It covers the implementation of the Relocation Decisions of 2015, the hotspot approach, Dublin IV and the corrective allocation mechanism, and the impact of the EU-Turkey deal.

The study was authored by Dr Elspeth Guild, British Member of the Odysseus Network and based at Queen Mary, University of London, and Radboud University, Dr Cathryn Costello, Winner of the 2016 Odysseus Prize and based at the Unversity of Oxford, and Dr Violeta Moreno-Lax, Winner of the 2016 Early Career Odysseus Prize and based at Queen Mary, University of London.
